First of all, I want to thank Florence, Federica and Paola, who believed in us giving us their kittens and are always available for any kind of help and advice. Thank you!
2007: my name is Carlotta and I live in Milan. I really love animals since I was a child. Probably because I was brought up with a wonderful boxer around (Ugo, my special brother) and because the respect for animals is a basic characteristic of my whole family. After Ugo's death, in 1997, we tried to tell ourselves that we didn't want other animals, but it didn't last too long and now we 'humans' are outnumbered by our furry friends. Besides me, my parents and my sister (who now lives in her own house with three stray cats which she took in), the other members of our family are a big 9 years old Chartreux cat (Kant dubbed Cicci), whose biggest passion is to sleep anywhere she can, a lively West Highlands White Terrier (Emma), who makes everyone happy even if she's a little bossy, and some tropical fishes in their aquariums.

In January 2007 something changed... Surfing on the Internet, my mom came across a picture of a big cat with wonderful blue eyes: a Ragdoll. But, we wondered, what a Ragdoll is exactly? We weren't able to keep our curiosity and we started a great investigation on that breed. The more we learnt about Ragdolls, the more we needed to extend our research and in a very short time we discovered the sweet nature, the total devotion and the extreme trust to humans typical of this breed. Living with Kant, we have always been missing cuddles, which she refuses and denies: a Ragdoll seemed to be the cat of our dreams! When finally we met some Ragdolls in the flesh and fur, we fell in love with them at once! So we started looking for our first breeders, interested not only in the pets but in a deeper commitment to the breed. Decision wasn't made lightly: we went through deep self-examinations about our real capacity in undertaking this path, we analysed any kind of difficulty we would have to face and we tried to understand whether we would have been able to face them. After all this thinking we started going to cat shows and made contact with Ragdoll breeders with lots of experience. This is where our adventure started.
Our first Ragdoll is Ragnarok Eva and she came directly from California, the motherland of Ragdolls. The idea was to have at least one of our breeders as traditional as possible and Eva has a great pedigree, with Raggedy Ann cats in five generations.
After we met Florence, we received an unexpected call from her offering us a beautiful tortie with wonderful eyes. This is how Nessie from Bambole joined our family, a withe furball with coloured ears and great temperament.
In late July, coming back home from my holidays, I stopped in Rome where someone was waiting for me: Silmarilions Samvise, our stud. He has the typical attitude of a man with a harem: he goes around rubbing himself everywhere (especially on Emma) mindlessly, but when the time comes he claims his cuddles mewing untill you take him in your arms.
After Rome, it was Venice time. Nutella from Venice Dolls comes from the lagoon and she is really soft with a mischievous look. She has a strong character, she is indipendent, athletic and ticklish, but she is the first one to come nuzzling near me whenever I sit on the sofa or I go to bed. Her purring is a real sign of her love.
Now it was time to decide the name of my cattery, and taking a glance around the idea came immediately: MyCuddle Ragdoll seemed to me to be the most suitable choice.
MyCuddle Ragdoll cattery is TICA registered since 2007 and its primary purpose is to improve this wonderful breed and to let it spread, in the total respect of the cat and following the TICA voluntary code of ethics.
MyCuddle Ragdoll cattery is member of Ragdoll Cat Club Italia, sharing with it the main purposes and the breeding code of ethics.
